About our Chapter
Welcome to Catholic Schoolhouse of North Beach, Maryland!
I’m happy you have ventured here to learn a little more about our chapter.
We meet Monday mornings, from September through May, in North Beach Maryland. We have classes for homeschooled students in preschool through elementary school.
Our day begins with morning prayer, chorus and the Pledge of Allegiance. Our scholars then move to their academic classes where they learn and review memory work and enjoy hands-on art and science projects.
Our pre-grammar program, with a focus on the CSH core virtues, includes a gentle introduction to memory work, and age appropriate art and science activities. The goals of the pre-grammar program are to expose our very young children to the structure of the CSH day and increase family unity through shared learning.
During the 2025-26 academic year we will be studying Tour 3, which covers the Renaissance through modern times. You can learn more about scope and sequence of Tour 3, and the rest of the Catholic Schoolhouse grammar level program, here.
After classes, we gather for closing prayer, lunch, outdoor play and fellowship.
If you have any questions about our chapter or about homeschooling in general, or if you would like to arrange a visit, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Peace of Christ,
Marsha Higgs, Chapter Team Director
